Thank goodness we’ve made it to Friday!! I don’t know about you but this week needed to end for me. Between what’s going on in the world and with our little family, I just want to get away from it all. Colds have kept coming our way consistently since the new year. Jason now has a sinus inflection and the boys both got sick again last weekend. Then on Wednesday night, I was slicing potatoes with a mandoline slicer and I sliced off half of my right thumb nail, oy vey!!! I now know how much I used my thumb for things since it’s out of commission. I like to keep scaring my husband with self inflicted pain I put on myself, lol!
Life isn’t rosy all the time, I definitely have my bad days or months. So far, I’m not loving you 2022!! However, things could always be worse just ask the Ukrainians, definitely have lost sleep over what’s happening abroad. My heart and prayers go out to Ukraine and all of their people. Life seems to have a way of putting things into perspective, humbling you and then reminding you of your own blessings.
Even though it’s been a hard week there has also been some FAVORITE moments too. I will always be thankful for my blessings and these FAVORITE moments that bring me and my family happiness.

BRUMATE Water Bottle
I was in the market for a new water bottle. I had my S’well water bottle for years but it was time for a change. My water bottle needs have changed, I wanted a bottle to hold more water, have a straw so I can easily consume more water, and have a handle to carry it. This BRUMATE bottle fit my needs! It comes in several colors and patterns and it comes with a regular lid too in case you aren’t wanting a straw.
Knowing your child’s LOVE Language
Knowing how to speak love to your child based on their love language is very useful and good to know. This guide is a FAVORITE!
Cooking with Luke
I love my special time with my boys in the kitchen. Luke and I made bacon-chesse homemade pizzas. I truly enjoy the teachable moments within fun activities. Luke learned how to cook bacon. He learned how to be careful with grease splatter and how you need to drain the fat after cooking it. He also learned what to do with the bacon grease and how to put out a grease fire. All very useful things to know.

What a fabulous week of favorites! I too sliced part of one of my finger nails recently (when peeling carrots!) and I was trying so hard to keep that nail from breaking even further beneath the skin. And we too have been fending off lots of colds since the first of the year. Bowling and dinner out look so fun!

Ohh no I’m so sorry to hear you are going through a similar situation! It’s the worst, I’m wearing a bandaid on my finger to keep it all intact but it’s on my right hand and it gets bumped and agitated a lot. It’s one of those things that we need patience for and give it time to heal. Hope it heals for you quickly! And I hope you and your family feel better soon. Cold season needs to end ASAP!
