I love adding to our seasonal book collection! Today I’m showing you our book collection for Fall and Thanksgiving books!
// Fletcher and The Falling Leaves: This is the sweetest book about a little Fox that is worried about a tree and it losing its leaves. The illustrations are beautiful! The fox is sympathetic to nature by trying to protect the tree as the season changes. This book was a new addition for us this year and we LOVED it!
// Thanksgiving on Plymouth Plantation: This beautiful story is about how a family dresses up and travels back through time to share Thanksgiving with the pilgrims. It’s very educational on how Thanksgiving started, it teaches you about the harvest, and about the food they served. It’s a fun way for kids to learn about the holiday and why we celebrate it and to be thankful.
// Thanksgiving in the Woods: This book was a new addition to our collection this year too. It’s about a family that celebrates Thanksgiving in the woods. They all work together for this event in the woods to happen, it’s about how they celebrate it, what food they eat and on how they give thanks. The illustrations are fun and it’s a cute story.
// How to Catch a Turkey: This is a fun story about kids at school putting on a play for Thanksgiving. The turkey gets stage fright and runs off but the show must go on and the kids try to catch the running turkey. It all ends well and this story is full of lots of laughs. This is a fun read for kids!
// I am Thankful: This was also a new addition to our collection this year and I love it! It documents Thanksgiving day and shares along the way how they are thankful. In the back of the book, there is a fun list of ways and activities that show how you can be thankful. A great book to illustrate to children how to be thankful this season.
// Thanks for Thanksgiving: This is a great book for Toddlers. The illustrations are cute! The message is simple and it is about what this family is thankful for on Thanksgiving.
