It’s been a busy week getting ready for Tyler’s 5th birthday party and we can’t wait for the 3-day weekend!!
There was lots of faves from this past week so let’s get down to it!
I love having a fun treat bowl full of candies out during February and Trader Joe’s had the perfect heart shaped candies!
It’s always a FAVORITE for Tyler and I to read books together and in honor of Groundhog Day, we enjoyed reading, “Groundhug Day”.
We had some friends move in near us and their boys are the same ages as ours, SCORE! The friend pack has grown to 6 boys all hanging out together. They had a blast!
Luke, Graham, and Zane made a volcano together and yes it did erupt!
Tyler, Henry, and Von playing in the kitchen, jumping on the trampoline and playing with all the cars and trucks upstairs!
Our new welcome mat for the front door arrived and it’s a FAVORITE!
Tyler’s preschool teacher, Mrs. Annemarie is a FAVORITE!! She is allowing Tyler to borrow an educational game each week and it’s been awesome. The games have been a fun activity that Tyler and I get to do together and he’s learning so much. So appreciate his teacher lending me these tools so I don’t have to purchase them myself. Kids can get bored with things fast so this definitely helps spice things up and provides variety.
It comes with all these cute rhyming houses. You pick different words on cards and determine which rhyme house it goes into.
I told his teacher he needed to work on distinguishing between upper and lower case letters and Mrs. Annemarie gave us the perfect activity box. It comes with 10 different activities to help with his letters, Perfecto!
Quality time together mixed in with learning is a FAVORITE!
In other news, Jason got a new car and we are pretty excited about it! We are not people that get new cars often. I still have the same car (Nissan Rouge) for the past 10 years and my car before that (Acura Integra) I also had for 10 years, LOL.
Jason has had an electric car for 6 years now. He had a Ford Focus Electric and leased two of them for 6 years. We decided it was time for an upgrade for my hard working hubby. We also wanted a car that was more functional in being able to go further in miles, had more truck space and more room in the back seat. The Ford Mustang Mach-E fit what we were looking for.
Jason’s new car
It’s such a pretty blue!
It has so many cool features but the big screen that connects right up to your phone is for sure a FAVORITE!
Our friend Chris came into town from LA for the weekend and hanging out with our good friend is a FAVORITE!
We enjoyed a charcuterie spread for lunch!
The boys spent a lot of time figuring out how they were going to smoke the ribs and chicken wings in the meat smoker.
Chef Tyler wanted in on the action too!
Nothing like some smoked meat to enjoy on a Super Bowl Sunday!
Dinner was definitely a FAVORITE!!
Watching our friends build relationships with our kids is a FAVORITE!
The half time show was entertaining, love me some Weeknd! It was so cute watching Chris show Tyler some dance moves!
Another FAVORITE was assembling Luke’s Valentine’s for his classmates. Truth be told I forgot they were due on Monday until late Sunday night, so we were doing them in the last hour on Sunday before bedtime. He wasn’t allowed to hand out candy this year. I found these cute red name tags that came with string. Then we got two kinds of pens and pencils to hand out.
That’s a wrap on this week’s FAVORITIES! Have a fun 3-day weekend!
XO
