This past Friday night we had our weekly Family Fun Night and watched a cute Halloween movie called, Frankenweenie. It’s a Tim Burton movie and we all enjoyed it!
On Saturday we met up with our good friends, Megan & Cole and took our families on an outing to the Ecology Center in San Juan Capistrano! The produce farm was decorated so cute for Halloween, the store had a great variety of speciality items and fresh produce. It was a great local place to go with your family and it feels good to support our local farmers. I became a member and if you live in San Juan then you get a 10% discount.
It was a perfect day to enjoy doing something outside with our family and good friends!
After our fun outing we went back to our house to make lunch with some fresh produce from the Ecology Center.
We also enjoyed a Aperol Spritz, it was so yummy and tasted so fresh with the orange in it.
We of course hung out by our pool and played with the kids.
Hendrix is so funny with the water gun, he squirts you and then throws the water gun into the pool and he thinks its hilarious, LOL
In the evening we ordered in Mexican food and enjoyed some wine that Megan brought over.
On Sunday, we decided to go on our first family run and it was a success! With the temperatures finally starting to drop in CA, we decided to get out and move our bodies together. The boys did great and we all felt accomplished afterwards š
I gavw myself a mani/pedi and on Sunday afternoon, I carved out some ME time and painted my nails and then watched a Hallmark movie while they dried…perfection me time, if you ask me š
I hope you all have a great weekend! We are doing some fun things as a family this weekend. Family Fun Night on Friday, then Saturday we plan on carving pumpkins and going for a family run again. On Sunday we are starting a new weekly tradition of having Family Game Night and my parents are joining us for our first one. I’m making us all dinner then I have planned to make some Halloween popcorn to enjoy while playing games. The recipe will be up on the blog soon!

Ummmm ok…first of all….a wine club sounds heavenly. I’m going to have to see if they have any in my neck of the woods! And, I have heard amazing things about Beauty Counter. Do they have any products to help rosacea?

Hi Jen! Yes, a wine club does seem heavenly!! I’ve been very impressed with beautycounter that’s why I decided to share what I have learned about their products and the company. They do have a line that helps with Rosacea. I’m not sure if you need a whole new routine but this is how BC recommends that you treat it. 1. Countermatch Refreshing Foam Cleasnser, 2. Balancing Facial Oil (this oil is essential and puts moisture back into the skin so it doesn’t over dry & produce more oil). 3. Countermatch Adaptive moisturizer(use lotion and add 1-2 drops of the facial oil), 4. Charcoal bar (use 2x per/wk, rotate with the cleanser), 5. Countertime Supreme Cream (use @ night). I hope this helps you! If you are interested in ordering you can go to http://www.beautycounter.com/juliegimeno and I’m available to help you out and answer any other questions!

I am going to have to give that nail system a try! Two weeks sound fantastic as I’m happy if I can get two days out of my polish.

Ohh yeah, it’s been a great nail system for me and has saved me lots of money by not going and having my nails done. A little investment in purchasing the cleaner, primer and top coat but I promise it’s worth it. Have a great weekend!
