Life has been more full and fun lately and we’re loving it!!
I feel like my Friday Favorites posts are getting a little long so I wanted to break up those posts. Life Lately posts will be on what we have been up to and my Friday Favorites posts will consist of what my family and I are loving. My hope is that this will make my posts easier to read and not as long.
LATELY….our house has been FULL of boys! Our dream has finally come true where more families are moving into our neighborhood and we are SO excited to have more kid-friendly neighbors. On any day of the week now we have 8-10 boys who are in and out of our house. For the most part they are house jumping and roaming our neighborhood on bikes, making forts, playing basketball and jumping on each others trampolines.
You guys I have so many fond memories from my childhood, being out in my neighborhood in Huntington Beach on Trinidad Island playing my heart out with friends everyday. I’ve wanted this so bad for my boys and I finally feel like we have achieved this lifestyle since two more wonderful families with BOYS have moved in near us. Our hearts are so FULL!!
These aren’t the best pictures but they move around fast and it’s hard to capture their fun and I don’t want to be the annoying mom always asking for pictures, LOL
Tyler and Henry are the two youngest out of the pack and a lot of times they still enjoy playing pretend together at our homes. Here is a picture where they were playing “camping” and built a campsite.
I’ve mentioned that we are viewing the Starswars movies with the boys, we started from the beginning and are taking them through the entire journey. Luke is enjoying seeing them again now that he is older and Tyler is enjoying them for the first time. So, naturally there’s a lot more lightsaber action happening again. It’s so fun Luke will ask ‘Alexia’ to play music from Starwars while they battle together.
Tyler is locked into watching Starwars with his Dad!
A new nightly tradition we have started is Jason reading books to Luke at night. First up is, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. It’s so well written and the boys can’t wait for this time together at the end of the day.
This past week both the boys and I got haircuts. Luke is at the stage right now where he has BIG opinions on how he wants his hair. Short on the sides and in the back and long on top. He likes to whip around his front hair and he’s so proud of how long its getting, LOL
I love my hair stylist, Jenny Safford! She works in Cornoa Del Mar at The Strands Salon. If you are local I can’t recommend her enough, she has brought my hair back to life.
This past weekend we went to our good friends house, Megan and Cole’s to hang out in Huntington Beach for the day.
On our drive ready to start Sunday-Funday!!
Look at this cutie…he fell asleep on our 30 minute drive, a sleeping baby (my big baby) still tugs at my heart.
Having fun playing in their backyard on this beautiful day!
Hendrix was riding the front, HAHA
Check out this new play house they built….it was a dream for Tyler to play in it! It has a kitchen which made my little chef very happy!
Can’t turn your back on this lil’ cutie…he’s a climber!!
You guys this friend right here brings so much happiness to my life. Every women needs a friend like her, she builds me up, encourages me, challenges me to be my best self and knows how to fuel my love language with lots of words of affirmation. Ohh, and she is loads of fun to be with!
I met Megan @hustleandbliss right out of college in 2003 at my first job post UofA in the management program with Enterprise-Rent-a-Car. What a blessing it is to have her in my life and for our families to be so close. If you don’t already I highly recommend following her on instagram. She has awesome content and is a health and wellness fitness coach and is full of inspiration!!
We went in the HOT TUB!! This hot tub is amazing with all the jets that massage your body, it was delightful!
The dad’s got in some alone time to chill and talk!
The boys got a veggie and fruit lesson from Megs and we juiced…it was delicious! Listening to them giggling and having fun was music to our ears!
Tyler was amazed by the entire process, lil’ chef loved it!
The parents were able to get in some alone time with snacks, drinks alongside the fire while the boys…
Watched Toy Story!
It was a wonderful day spent with friends and the sunshine! It filled all of our tanks and made us happy going into the next week!
One last thing…I love receiving pictures from Mrs. Annemarie, Tyler’s preschool teacher. Since we aren’t allowed in the classroom right now, it’s nice to get glimpses of what they are up too.
Alright, friends, thanks for reading along today. It still turned into a long post, LOL Too many good moments! Have a great day!
