Love Notes from Mom

Little Letters for Lunch

I love writing little notes to stick in Luke’s lunch box. I want him to know that I care and think about him when he’s at school. My notes nowadays have a “would you rather question” he loves them and it’s a fun conversation starter for him to have with his friends. His answer: Control the weather 🙂

Morning “Me” Time

Grace not Perfection | Gratitude Journal

Before I start my morning routine, I like to begin with some quiet “me time”, for me that includes HOT coffee, writing in my gratitude journal and reading a few chapters of a book. I’m currently reading, “Grace not Perfection” by Emily Ley and I love it! It’s a great read for the Mama’s, it’s full of ideas, relatable everyday problems and solutions, and has areas of questions/answers for you to drop your own thoughts.

At-Home Date Nights!

We’re trying to plan more date nights but on weeks we can’t, we’re now making an effort to do something different together on the weekend. Last Sunday, we heated up our jacuzzi, brought out a portable speaker and enjoyed a couple of drinks while talking for an hour. It was relaxing and nice to catch up on a Sunday evening.

Spring Clean-Out: Kitchen & Kids Games

Last Sunday, the boys were outside all-day playing with friends so I decided to take advantage of the free time and tackle some items on my Clean-Out Checklist. I finished up our kitchen with wiping down and cleaning every drawer, it’s amazing how many crumbs find their way into our drawers!! I also, tackled the kid area in our downstairs office.

Our game collection has grown, and I decided to move all the books upstairs to the playroom, which helped this area look a whole lot better. I used to keep Lego bins on top of the shelf and it looked cluttered so now I’m in the process of creating a Lego building section in the playroom. Why didn’t I do this a long time ago?!?! I swear when you take the time to focus on a particular area and think about how it can function best for your family while looking more pleasing to the eye; I usually am surprised with a happy outcome. For sure a FAVORITE for me!

Peanut Butter Overnight Oats

I wasn’t sure about this overnight oats recipe but I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it!

Speaking of Spring Cleaning if you need some inspiration in getting your fridge and pantry in working order, check out my post from this week.

Luke and Tyler’s FAVORITES

Luke and his buddies gathered all the neighborhood kids and they had a flag football sesh!

Tyler’s Lego creations lately have been so creative and he loves describing all the details that he puts into his masterpieces. This one is a two-story restaurant!

This masterpiece was a house connected to a mall 🙂

I love how he incorporates his little people characters too!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I’ll be back next week with this line up of posts:
