with Almond Carrot Slaw

We were pleasantly surprised with how good these burgers were, and the slaw on top was so tasty! We ate them protein-style wrapped in butter lettuce. This meal was memorable and one that we’ll be making again.

Thai Turkey Burgers with Almond Carrot Slaw

Ingredients

  • 14 oz extra lean ground turkey
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 2 tbsp cilantro
  • 2 tbsp basil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger minced
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 carrot grated
  • ½ lime juiced
  • 4 tsp almond butter
  • 3 tsp coconut aminos
  • ½ head on butter or boston lettuce
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil

Instructions

Turkey Burgers

  1. Gather all the ingredients, ground turkey, green onions, cilantro, basil, garlic, ginger, s&p, carrot, lime, almond butter, coconut aminos, lettuce

  2. In a large bowl combine the turkey, green onion, cilantro, basil, garlic, and ginger. Season with salt and pepper and mix until all combined.

  3. Make the meat mixture into equal size patties. Add a little avocado oil into a pan and heat over medium heat. Cook the patties on each side for 12-15 minutes.

Almond Carrot Slaw

  1. While the burgers are cooking start making the slaw. Get out a small bowl and add the carrot, lime juice, almond butter, and coconut aminos. Stir until completely combined. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add some cilantro (optional).

Lettuce

  1. Seperate your lettuce and wash it to remove any dirt. Lay on a paper towel to dry.

Assemble

  1. When the burgers are ready place them on the lettuce and top with slaw. Enjoy!!
