I thought it would be fun to review everything beauty. I find it helpful to see what products people are using. When I’m in the market to try a new product I like to choose one based on recommendations so I hope you find this post useful.
My Morning Routine:
I start with splashing my face with cold water to help wake myself up!
My Morning Skin Care:
I have an order to how I prefer to do my makeup…I like to start with my eyeliner and mascara.
I then put on my foundation with a foundation brush followed by a concealer under my eyes.
I then use my mac pro longwear on my eyelids as a base before adding eye shadow. It helps the eye shadow go on smoother and stay on longer. I let it set a minute before I begin putting on my eyeshadow.
I have a variety of eyeshadows that I use. I love this palate from Tarte, you can find it HERE.
Or I choose from a variety of mac eyeshadows:
I use Mac Studio Fix powder.
I then apply a Physicians Formula bronzer, followed my my mac blush to the apple part of my cheeks.
If I’m going out then I will add my Hourglass highlighter to my make-up routine. Right now I’m using this hourglass product and I put it onto my finger and then apply around my eyes and in my t-zone.
In The Shower Routine:
I wash my face with Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleaner.
A few times a week I exfoliate my face using a SkinCeuticals Micro-Exfoliating Scrub. I love how soft my skin feels after using this product.
My skin works best with Bath and Body Wash. I will buy them in bulk when they have different sales.
I’m constantly switching the shampoo and conditioner I use. I usually have two different brands at once so I can rotate them. My hairstylist recommended OLAPLEX for my thin dyed hair type and I love it. A little bit goes a long way and my hair is loving it!
I don’t put much product in my hair after I clean it but when I do I use the Original Sprout Miracle Detangler to make my hair easier to comb out. This Aquage Sea Salt Texturizing Spray works great to give my hair some body and a beachy texture.
I love using Living Proof Dry Shampoo on the days when I don’t wash my hair. With my thin hair I only need to wash my hair a couple times a week and this stuff saves me from the hair grease. This Navy Pebble Beach texture spray is great when I want to add body or curls to my hair.
The hairspray I like using is this Healthy Sexy Hair hairspray and I like a mild to a medium hold…I don’t like my hair to have a plastered feel and like it can’t move.
I try to use a face mask a few times a month. I like this Nugg face mask that exfoliates my skin. It’s made with all natural products and definitely removes all the dead skin. I get two uses out of each pack.
I also like using all these face masks from Sephora. They come in a variety of formulas to help with hydrating and brightening.
My Night Time Routine:
My preferred time of doing my night time skin care routine is after I’ve cleaned up dinner and when Jason is taking care of bath time with my boys. I don’t like to do it when I’m tired and done for the night, this helps me to NEVER miss washing my face and taking care of my skin.
I start with my Aveeno face wash and then use the toner from my Rodan + Feilds line to make sure I get off all the dirt and make-up from the day.
I use two products from the Drunk Elephant line. It’s an Intensive Hydration Serum and a Facial Oil. I mix both of them together in the palm of my hand and then dab it all over my face and then blend. These products are on the pricer side but you only need to use a little bit and they do last a long time.
I then go back to my Rodan + Fields line and use the 3c Dual Active Brightening Vitamin C formula and the 3r Retinol Formula. Again, I mix these two together in the palm of my hand and then apply.
Next, I use the Rodan + Field Multi-Function eye cream and dab it around my eyes and put it around my mouth to help with smile lines.
From here I use an anti-aging night cream by Olay. I apply it all over my neck and chest. It’s a great firming cream for your skin.
I know my skincare routine is long but you only have one face and you need to take care of it. Consistency is key to taking care of your face by cleaning it well, hydrating it and loading it with moisture.
I hope you find my routine useful and you can implement some of these products into your own routine. I highly recommend all the products I have listed. Maintaining routines that you do everyday will help you be consistent and it will give you a better chance at having your skin look its best for years to come. Please let me know if you have any questions or recommendations of any products you can’t live without.
