Merry Christmas, friends!!
I wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! I hope today fills your hearts with joy and you make fun memories with your families. I realize this may be a hard day for some of you due to changed holiday plans or if you have sick friends or family right now, and my heart goes out to all of you who are struggling today. It’s hard to not get caught up in the sadness that 2020 has brought to our world. I’m sure one way or another you have had some hardship this year and strangely we all have this in common. My hope for all of us this holiday season is to still be able to see the beauty, the magic, and the joy around us too. It’s sometimes easier to dwell on the lows of life but today my Christmas prayer is that you still find hope and rest in the embrace of the love around you with close friends and family.
Our Christmas plans changed this year too. Kathy and Arturo, my in-laws from Florida, had to cancel their trip to be with us during Christmas week. It’s hard and sad for all of us that we won’t be with them today. As you know, hard decisions have to be made and their safety and health are a top priority. But thank goodness for technology and our capability to still have video chats, at least it’s something. It’s hard to not live by all of our family. But the holidays must go on and I remain thankful for our health and our safety. I’m also very thankful and appreciative to all the healthcare workers that are having to work around the clock to take the best care of us…they are the true heroes in this global pandemic!
Children have a way of helping us adults to be present and to appreciate the joy that’s still happening around us. Today, may we all find joy in the little things, to appreciate our families, and to have a very Merry Christmas!
XO,
Julie
