Happy Friday, Friends! It’s been a good a full week so let’s get down to some of my favorites of the week….
This past Saturday we went to an outside fiesta 40th birthday party for our friend Jen! It was a lot of fun, outside games to play and not over-crowded so you could still socially distance. It was nice to have a night out with Jay while my parents babysat.
Luke started practicing flag football with his buddies. A nice dad decided to start practices on his own so the boys would be ready if the league decides to open up. Even if sports don’t open up this Fall the boys are still having a great time practicing together, being outside and getting some exercise!
Looking at sweet Tyler taking an afternoon nap was a FAVORITE!
We had painters come and paint our back family room wall because we are hanging new shelves in a different formation and behind the old ones was the original wall color.
Our neighbor and friend Henry turned 5 and had a small outside birthday party that included a bounce house & water slide!
Having friends live next door is a HUGE blessing and it has contributed to the boys staying happy during these times of having to be at home a lot. The boys are back and forth between our homes and playing all outside together.
We had some friends over on Tuesday for a pool playdate! Luke has been friends since preschool with Micah and I love that even though they don’t see each other often and go to different schools, they pick up right where they left off. I feel the same about their mom Kim…it’s hard in a pandemic and with life getting busy to stay in touch with friends but I’m a firm believer that putting effort into friendships is a priority all us busy moms should do for ourselves and our children.
A fAVORITE of mine this week was getting in our new placemats! I absolutely love pottery barn kids mats! They have a cork backing, are wipeable, sturdy and last through messy eaters. You can find them HERE. They match our color scheme in the kitchen and family room and I purchased 4 more for our countertop for adults to use too.
I like to reset certain areas on a monthly basis and our pantry is on the top of the list. I make sure there is nothing expired on the shelves, I tidying it up and making sure everything is on the right shelf….this keeps this Mama HAPPY!
