Mom with a Plan

Friday Favorites!
October 16, 2020

It’s been a busy and full week but I truly thrive when we have routines and are making memories together and sharing fun times with friends.

Let’s get down to the highlights from this past week shall we…

Friday night for Family Fun Night we had pizza and enjoyed watching ParaNorman together. I wouldn’t say it was my favorite animated movie but the boys definitely enjoyed it. We had a fun dance party afterwards of the boys picking the music and Tyler wanting to play cops and robbers…we let him lead and do whatever he would like to play.

Snuggles during movies are always a FAVORITE!

On Saturday we had a chill day of watching football, meal planning and fun in the pool with our favorite red haired neighbors, Graham and Henny.

This cutie in Daddy’s oversized jersey was a FAVORITE! Unfortunately, Florida did not do well and now several teammates have Covid and the next game is delayed, this news in NOT a favorite.
We are trying to keep the pool season going as long as we can and let’s face it, it’s still in the high 80’s here in CA!
After swimming ice cream cones are a FAVORITE for the boys!

After swimming they headed next door to jump on their trampoline and they got water from the hose & soap and jumped and played hard!

Tylers obsession with stickers continues now with Halloween stickers. They are so cute, you can find them HERE.

A FAVORITE for me was finishing a book alone on a quiet afternoon!

On Sunday, we went to see our good friends, Kelly & Chip and spent all day with them and into the evening.

They redid their backyard, check out this well styled and cool hangout area. The boys are enjoying watching football and having a nice cold beer.

They put in a pool because if there is one thing that everyone one wants and needs during this season of Covid, it’s a swimming pool to entertain the kids at home.

The jump shot!

We played a few rounds of cornhole!

My teammate!
Kelly is one of my favorite people, we have the best time together!

Life seems to be getting busier and if I’m not careful I can get carried away with laser focus on To-Do lists and things going on. So, I’m scheduling in alone time with my boys a few times a week. Tyler calls them, “Mommy and Me Dates!”

If I don’t have a fun activity planned to do, I just let Tyler take the lead in doing whatever his heart desires. On this day we played firemen with little characters and his firehouse and then played a few rounds of Jenga.

Luke is already so independent and into just playing with his friends so it’s a good reminder to soak up these next few years with Tyler, while all he wants is to play with us. Afterwards, my heart is always so full and I know I also filled up his attention and love tank too!

Fresh haircuts are a FAVORITE!
Tyler is definitely in the copycat phase and it was so cute, he’s like, “I need to be on my laptop and have my morning coffee just like my Dad” LOL

We had a fun playdate with friends and went to a park in their neighborhood. It was nice and shaddy outside and I got to visit with my friend Kim.

Playing Dinosaurs! I love this sweet stage….please stay 4 forever!
I met Kim at preschool orientation for Luke 6 years ago. She has been such a great friend since then, thankful for her friendship!

That’s a wrap on our past week, hope you have a great weekend!
