Happy February, friends!!
Let’s get right down to the highlights and FAVORITES from this past week, shall we…
Saturday
We packed our bags and headed to Newport Coast to spend the day at the beach with our good friends, Chip, Kelly and their boys Hunter & Parker! We had a rainy and cold week so we were excited to have some fun in the sun. The weather was right around 60 degrees and it was a perfect winter day looking out at the ocean, watching our boys play & explore and having good conversation with friends!

The cold weather didn’t stop these boys from playing in the water!
We enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Beachcomber Cafe!
We went exploring on the rocks and checked out what creatures were hanging out amongst the rocks!
Lots of climbing…
Hearing the kids laughter and having fun was a FAVORITE and music to our ears!
Sunday
Our second set of floor mats came in and our little home gym is complete, total FAVORITE for both Jay and I!
Sundays are for relaxing, family-time, and putting the kids to work on resetting the house for the following week!
It’s a FAVORITE of mine when the family helps with the clean-up!! The boys cleaned all the baseboards, cleaned up all the toys, and washed several of our windows downstairs.
This past week we attended my Uncle Bill’s Celebration of Life as best we could and although this is not a favorite, being with family is even when its under hard and sad circumstances.
My Uncle had a great life and we will all miss him dearly!
I loved how my aunt and cousin had a place set up to honor my uncle Bill with his FAVORITE fried chicken, biscuits and gravy and a cocktail.
Luke with his cousin, Jodey! Look how they had bottles of Dads Rootbeer, that drink was a FAVORITE of mine as a child!

Luke reading Tyler’s bedtime story to him….my heart just melted a little bit.
The older boys teaching the younger brothers a rhyming game…it’s a FAVORITE to see them all get along and having a teaching moment all together!
