Happy Friday, friends! I hope you enjoy today’s Five on Friday…let’s get to it!
1// I updated Luke & Tyler’s bathroom. Bathrooms are an area that fall to the waste-side for me. All the extra time at home has given me a new set of eyes, I’m seeing areas that need a little TLC and the boys bathroom is one of those areas.
Here is the before/after picture:
New Shower Curtain Liner & HooksNew Shower CurtainYou can find the shower curtain liner HERE, the hooks HERE and the shower curtain HERENew Trashcan, you can find it HERENew Bath Mat, you can find it HERENew Monogrammed Bath Towels, you can find them HEREI already had this valance. I picked out decor that would go with the blue & white theme. The tile in this picture looks yellow for some reason but it is white, lolAbove the toilet artwork…my boys need reminders of doing the basics, so I saw this picture on Amazon and thought perfect! You can find it HERE I went with this trio of inspirational framed words for above their bath towels. Little reminders for them to start and end their day with a positive message. I found them on Amazon, HERE. You can find the bath towels, HEREHooksHooksTheir robes didn’t have a home and I thought these hooks were perfect because they hang lower on the door and are easier for them to reach (Tyler will still need assistance). I found them on Amazon, HEREIt’s so nice to have a bathmat where the door can finally close going over it. I think the words “Splish Splash” are so cute, it reminds me of the oldie song that my Dad used to always play, lol! You can find the bath mat HERE.BeforeAfterVery happy with the final look! After
2// Scavenger Hunt: I’m doing a post soon on our inside & outside picture scavenger hunts. I wanted to give you a preview peek tho…we had a fun time doing the outside hunt this past weekend. The boys thought it was fun to take the pictures of each item themselves.
3// Tackling Spring Cleaning:Cleaning out my dresses & formal wear. I never seem to get to cleaning out these two areas of my closet. What better time to do this dreaded clean-out task then during quarantine.
Before BeforeI have two areas for dresses and skirtsAfterAfterMay not look like it but I got rid of a TON of stuff. I haven’t cleaned out these two sections in probably 12 years, yikes!! All of this is for Goodwill! I was sad to say good bye to some stuff but I’ll never wear it again and it was taking up to much real estate in my closet. The items filled two trash bags!!My area in the garage designated to Goodwill is full….time to make a drop off. I checked and they are still open for drop offs, just their stores are closed for shopping. Can’t wait to clear all of this out!! Side note: not getting rid of the wine fridge you see there, that is a keep item, lol
4// Sephora Sale: Sephora only has two sales a year. One in the Winter and one in the Spring. I’m only Insider status so I get 10% off but at least it’s something. I also paid with using Klarna, which is great. It’s no interest payment plan and you can split paying for your total bill into 4 installments. It’s my first time using Klarna but since I had a few items to purchase I decided to use this option. The sale ends 4/27 so go get on it. Here’s what I purchased:
5// Cool Sand Deluxe Kit: Ice Cream Edition. I thought this activity would be fun to do outside together. We put some music on and enjoyed creating with the coolsand while singing to music. The boys loved this stuff, super cool, no mess or stickiness, it was a success….go get your kids some! Tyler played with it for over an hour!
This is what the set comes with.It holds together so well! Our Sandman!Putting it through your hands as Luke says, “is so satisfying”!Love my boys!!Birthday cake! Tyler had Jason come out to blow out the candles, lolOur view…love looking out onto our courtyard!
Well, that’s a wrap on this weeks Five on Friday! I hope you enjoyed the fun read! Have a great weekend and if you are in California it’s going to be a hot one so I hope you can soak up the sunshine and find some water to go hang out in.
