Mom with a Plan

Five on Friday! April 10, 2020

This is a series where I will tell you about products I love for myself or for my kids. Activities that we are currently enjoying, things that are making our life easier and anything in between.

Instead of doing a Friday Favorites post because life is so exciting right now and is pretty much more of the same things. I wanted to change things up and tell you about five things that my boys and I are loving right now.

1// Marvelbeads

These beads were a fun find on Amazon. They look like normal craft beads but when added to water they change size, texture, and take on water to create a squishy marble type bead. They boys loved watching them take on their shape over a few hours. It’s great for sensory play and we turned it into a sorting and counting activity.

Tyler is checking out how the beads feel before adding them to water
How they looked when we first added them to water
After an hour they looked like this
After several hours they took on their final form
The boys loved putting their hands through them….so cool!
They sorted them by color
Then we counted each color to see which color had the most ( white won and turquoise lost)
This was 3 tsp of the beads
Can be used as a fun decor idea too, I filled up some small vases

2// Voluspa Rose Champs Candle. This is my favorite candle to light up at my desk while I’m working. The aroma from the candle is SO good! It relaxes me and having a scent going while I work signals to my brain it’s focus time.

You can find the candle HERE

3// Mario Badescu – Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs & Rosewater. I have a nightly skin routine and this glorious spray is the last thing I put on my face. It’s so refreshing, it sets your skin to be dewy and moisturized and I love it!

4// Tao Tronics Cool Mist Humidifier. We have been loving these humidifiers! We have had them in our boys rooms since the Fall. They regulate the moisture in their rooms so well. They don’t leak and turn off automatically once the room reaches the right moisture level. They also turn back on when it needs to regulate the moisture levels too. I can’t recommend them enough!

You can find the humidifier HERE

5// Easter Baskets. I love the boys cute Easter Baskets from Pottery Barn. They are nice, big, and made well. You can choose different patterns for the basket liners and can get your child’s name embroidered onto it. We have had Luke’s for almost 9 years and it still looks brand new.

It’s been raining all week in California so we are looking forward to it being sunny on Saturday! We are keeping our fingers crossed that the forecast changes and removes the rain on Easter Sunday. I hope you all have a blessed weekend with your families and enjoy Easter together! See you back here on Monday.
