Mom with a Plan

Early Friday Favorites!

This post is coming to you early this week due to Christmas falling on a Friday.

This past week has been full of memories and good times considering the hardships that our country is experiencing right now. I’m feeling so thankful to my boys for holding my attention and keeping me in the moment. I love experiencing the magic of Christmas all over again each year through my children. It’s definitely one of the perks that we parents get to experience.

On Thursday evening, we went to my Aunt Diane’s condo in Newport Beach with my brother and his family, my parents, and with my cousin Whitney and her son Jodey to enjoy a chili dinner and the Newport Beach Boat Parade!

The view!
Matching sweaters are from Gap.
My Aunt’s dog’s are just the cutest!
Tyler has the sweetest relationship with my Aunt and it warms my heart with how loving he is with her!
My cousin got these cute reindeer glasses for the boys, HA!

On Friday evening, we had our regular scheduled Family Fun Night! We watched the classic Home Alone!

On Saturday morning, our elf Elfis planned a fun candy cane hunt for our boys and they were SO excited about it! It’s a fun tradition that our Elf does every year!

Then we had our best friends over, Megan & Cole Stutz, and their adorable energy-filled son, Hendrix! They brought us lunch from a healthy plant-based restaurant called Flower Child! Jason and I both got the Flying Avocado Wraps and we loved them!!

We exchanged Christmas presents and enjoyed each others company all day long and it was just what we needed before Christmas week!

They gifted Tyler a grocery cart…he was in love!

We watched the Florida Gator game together, played outside in our cul-de-sac and made Carne Asada and Carne Pollo tacos for dinner.

Worked with Tyler on riding his bike!
It was a beautiful day to enjoy being outside!

Happiness is spending time with our best friend’s during the holidays!

We had a moment with Luke and learned from youtube how to draw a Christmas Yoda.

Speaking of Luke’s creative masterpieces, check out his Christmas taco!

We enjoyed yummy festive cocktails!

On Sunday, our fun-loving Elf decided today was the day we were all to have a fun time baking Christmas cookies together! He put on his baker apron and hat and got out the boy’s Christmas apron’s, Elfis is so clever! He also gifted the boys new Christmas Pajamas to enjoy later that night at the Christmas Drive-through light show and to enjoy during Christmas week!

Baking cookies was an all-day process for us. Tyler had the best time and I enjoyed making memories with them even though baking is not a favorite activity for me.

Right after this picture was taken Tyler dropped a spoon into the moving mixer and it scared him to death, but it all ended up fine, LOL

On Sunday evening, we got to enjoy a fun evening out together going to The Light of the World: Christmas Lights drive through show at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest!

It was amazing and such a fun safe activity to do as a family!

We enjoyed hot chocolate while we waited for our turn to drive through the show of lights.

Jason even put on festive Christmas pajamas!

A few highlights!

Elsa showed up!

It was a fun experience and it was completely FREE! We were very impressed with the hard work that went into this event by Saddleback Church. They made a memorable activity for families to enjoy during a pandemic Christmas!

Watching Tyler’s excitement for the holiday season this year has been a huge FAVORITE!

A favorite of mine was receiving this thoughtful and sweet gift from Stephanie Dalton, my team leader at Beautycounter.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Eve tomorrow!
